FAQ
Common questions about renting, payment, security and refunds
01How does renting work?
The platform delegates Energy from its stake to the wallet you enter. That wallet can use it for USDT transfers or other contract calls. You do not need to stake TRX yourself. At expiry the system schedules reclaim without renewal. If Energy or Bandwidth is insufficient, your wallet may still charge TRX network fees.
02How much Energy do I need?
Usage depends on the operation and contract state. Common USDT estimates are around 65,000 Energy when the recipient already holds USDT and around 131,000 when they do not. This is separate from whether the recipient account is activated. The rent page provides a reference estimate, but a sender address alone cannot determine the exact cost of every transfer.
03How is the price calculated? How much do I actually save?
Prices depend on Energy amount and rental period. Preview the price, then create a payment quote valid for 2 hours. The final amount may include activation and a small amount adjustment used to identify your payment. Compare the total, including payment and Bandwidth costs, with your wallet preview for the same transfer.
04How fast is delivery?
Delegation is processed after your payment is confirmed on-chain. Timing depends on block confirmation, node responses and available resources. Check the order page and on-chain records for progress.
05Which wallets work?
Use a personal TRON wallet that can send the exact TRX amount, such as TronLink, TokenPocket, imToken or Ledger. For exchange withdrawals, check the minimum, fees, decimal precision and delivery time first. The amount actually received must exactly match the quote.
06What should I watch out for when paying?
Pay TRX on the TRON network and match both the payment address and the exact received amount to your quote. Do not round. Quotes last 2 hours; allow time for chain confirmation. If you have paid, keep the transaction hash (txid) and do not pay again just because the status has not updated. Create a new quote only if the old one expired unpaid.
07Why does my quote include an account activation fee?
For an inactive wallet, the quote uses current chain parameters for account creation and creation Bandwidth, plus 0.1 TRX transferred into the wallet. It budgets the Bandwidth burn rather than relying on the platform's available staked Bandwidth. The accepted fee is locked at order placement, with no later surcharge. Active wallets pay no activation fee.
08What happens at expiry? Is there an auto-renewal?
There is no automatic renewal or charge. The rental period starts after delegation confirmation, and reclaim is scheduled at expiry. Consumed Energy recovers gradually, but the total reusable amount depends on when you use it and how much has recovered. A 24-hour rental does not guarantee twice the rented quantity.
09Can I rent to someone else's address?
Yes, but enter the wallet that will actually send the transfer or call the contract. For a friend sending USDT, enter their sending wallet, not the USDT recipient. Do not use an exchange deposit address you cannot operate.
10What's the security model?
Ordering requires no account, wallet connection, private key or recovery phrase. You pay TRX to the platform, which then processes delegation; chain confirmation and service delivery still take time. Check the network, address and amount, and keep your order link.
11What's the refund policy?
There are no automatic refunds. Wrong amounts, expired quotes or delegation problems require a check of on-chain records; refunds or replacement delivery are not guaranteed. Keep the quote ID, transaction hash, amount and wallet address, and use the channels published on the contact page. Funds sent to the wrong address may not be recoverable.
12What happens if I underpay or overpay?
Underpayment or overpayment may fail to match your quote or match a different one, so your intended rental will not be delivered automatically. Do not send a top-up, pay again or create another quote to force a match. Keep the transaction hash and original quote ID and request a check through the contact page.
13Energy vs Bandwidth — what's the difference? Can I rent Bandwidth?
Bandwidth covers transaction data on TRON; both TRX and USDT transfers may use it. Energy covers contract execution, such as USDT transfers. GasTank currently rents Energy only. Bandwidth is not included, so your wallet may still charge network fees.
